What Brow Lamination is & How it Works

Brow lamination is the newest beauty trend to hit Australia. It can achieve great results for those with sparse or faint eyebrows. This new treatment direct from Europe can be described as a lash lift for the brows, providing the full and feathery effect of microblading without any need for a blade or needle.

What is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is a painless option for picture-perfect eyebrows. If your brows lack symmetry or you have multidirectional hairs that don’t stay put, brow lamination could be the answer you’re looking for.

How Does Brow Lamination Work?

Brow lamination uses a chemical solution to straighten the brow hairs. The effect is to individualise each hair and create definition in the face with a stronger brow look. The chemical substance used on the brow is a type of keratin that’s milder than the chemicals used for eyebrow perms. Brow lamination is therefore kinder to both the eyebrow hair and the skin.

What is the Process for Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is conducted within a 45-minutes appointment time. You will be advised prior to your appointment to grow out your eyebrows for at least 3 weeks, giving your brow artist plenty of natural hair to work with.
The first step during the appointment is to prepare the eyebrow area with cleanser while you lie relaxed on a reclining bed. The natural brow shape will be assessed, and the brow artist will discuss with you the look you want to achieve.
Your brows are then combed into shape, and the keratin is applied and set using cling wrap. The keratin is left on for about 5 minutes, during which time you may experience slight tingling. Next, neutralising cream is added before the brow is tinted and shaped (using wax or thread) to finish off the colour and contour of your brows.

What Are the Benefits of Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is an innovative treatment for beautiful, well-defined brows. Here are some reasons to try brow lamination:
Painless Beauty Procedure
Also unlike microblading, brow lamination does not hurt. When the keratin substance is applied to the brow, all that happens is a slight tingling feeling, but this is not painful.

Thickens Brow Appearance
After brow lamination, the eyebrows appear thicker and fuller. So if you have gaps in your brows, this treatment could be perfect for you.

Creates Shapelier Brows
The contours of the brows after brow lamination are well defined and aesthetically pleasing, providing a beautiful frame to the face.

Darkens Brows
You can enjoy a more striking look with darker and bolder brows after brow lamination at your local beauty clinic. Darker brows can revolutionise your whole look, bringing out your features.

Gives a Full and Feathered Effect
If you want a full and feathered effect, then brow lamination could be the treatment you need.
